2008

$20,000 research grant awarded to Dr. Curt Balch

With partial help from Ovar’coming Together for the past two years, Dr. Balch’s research team has now isolated possible “ovarian cancer-initiating cells.” This work is described in a manuscript that has now been accepted for publication in the journal Cancer Research. Ovar'coming Together is proud to be able to support Dr. Balch and his research team for a third year, as they continue their efforts to improve treatment options for ovarian cancer patients.
